This policy explains what information Mazunte Tacos ("Mazunte," "we," "us") collects through mazuntetacos.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only. Our restaurants, online ordering and loyalty program run on partner services with their own policies, listed below.

Information you give us

When you fill out the Contact Us or Host an Event form we collect what you enter: your name, phone number and email address, and details such as your event date and times, preferred location, guest count, event type and message. We use it to reply to you and to plan your event. The form is saved in our website database and emailed to our team.

Information collected automatically

• Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider records technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Analytics. With your permission (see "Cookies and your choices"), Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages visited, approximate location, device and how you arrived. We use it to improve the site.
• Advertising measurement. If we use advertising tools such as the Meta Pixel or the LinkedIn Insight Tag, they run only in the Marketing category described below, and you can turn them off.
• Spam protection. When you send a form, we store a one-way hash of your IP address with your message, so we can limit automated spam. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address.

Cookies and your choices

We group cookies and similar technologies into categories:

• Strictly necessary: remember your cookie choice and keep the site working, including the accessibility toolbar, the location maps and the events calendar. These are always on.
• Analytics: Google Analytics, as described above.
• Marketing and measurement: advertising tools that measure our ads and may show them to people who have visited the site. This is the only category that could count as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising.

Visitors in California and Florida are asked before any optional cookies are used: you can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Elsewhere, analytics and marketing cookies are on by default and you can turn them off at any time. Wherever you are, you can change your choice using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at the bottom of every page.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and keep marketing cookies off.

We keep a record of each cookie choice (the choice, the date and a one-way hash of your IP address and browser) as evidence of consent. It cannot be used to identify you directly.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site, under their own terms:

• Vercel (website hosting), Neon (database) and Cloudflare (image storage).
• Resend, which delivers form notifications to our team by email.
• Google Analytics, when analytics cookies are allowed.
• UserWay, which provides the accessibility toolbar. It stores a random ID and your toolbar settings in your browser.
• OpenFreeMap and jsDelivr, which serve the maps on our location pages. Your browser requests map images from them directly.
• Google, which serves the events calendar on our Community Events page, and YouTube, which plays the video on our About page only after you press play.

Online ordering, catering orders and our loyalty program are provided by Toast and ezCater. When you follow an order or loyalty link you leave this site and their privacy policies apply. Links to our social media pages work the same way.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.

How long we keep it

We keep form submissions as long as we need them to respond to you and for our ordinary business records, then delete them. Analytics data is kept under the retention settings of our Google Analytics account. Cookie choice records are kept so we can show how consent was given.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email info@mazuntetacos.com or call (513) 785-0000. We may need to confirm your identity before we act. You can opt out of sale or sharing at any time with the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will ask for your cookie choice again if what the categories cover changes.
